Emmie joined PeakSpan Capital in 2025 after interning at the firm the previous summer. Emmie graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Computer Science and a capstone focus on blockchain technology. Emmie has worked on several software development projects, gaining experience in both back- and front-end coding while also learning the nuances of application design. At the University of Virginia, Emmie worked as a Differential Equations Teaching Assistant in the Applied Math department and was a member of the Society of Women Engineers. In Emmie's free time, she enjoys Pilates, trying new restaurants, and running.
I've always wanted to engage with technology that has a positive purpose. Within B2B software, we have the opportunity to fundamentally change the way businesses function, streamlining tasks and creating efficient solutions to complex problems. I am humbled to work alongside a team of individuals who not only focus on meaningful contributions to PeakSpan's mission, but also the future of B2B SaaS as a whole. Coupled with the visionary entrepreneurs we partner with, the sky is the limit with the PeakSpan team.
Working on the Nectar T-3 diligence process was an incredibly valuable learning experience. I had the opportunity to collaborate closely with the team to present their financial performance and forecasting, product roadmap, and AI positioning to the PeakSpan team, supporting continued investment in the business.
There’s a growing perception that AI is making B2B software less relevant, but we believe that view misses the bigger picture. For our team, AI is an exciting growth lever—one that B2B companies can harness to move faster than competitors and unlock new levels of differentiation.
The PeakSpan team and culture frame this role as an opportunity to grow and become the best version of yourself—one that rewards giving your full effort rather than conforming to rigid rules or a one-size-fits-all definition of “success.” Our commitment to recruiting beyond traditional finance backgrounds and championing individuals with diverse abilities, experiences, and interests is what makes the firm so strong. This diversity creates an environment where I feel comfortable sharing my perspectives, bringing new ideas to the table, and continuing to learn, all while being encouraged to show up as my authentic self.
