Sam joined PeakSpan in Fall 2023 after interning at the firm the previous summer. Prior to PeakSpan, Sam spent three summers in venture capital at Plug and Play, Defy, and Aegis Ventures focusing on autonomous vehicles, consumer social platforms, and digital health, respectively. While at Plug and Play, Sam worked out of the Beijing office, conducting all his work in Mandarin. Sam graduated from Middlebury College, receiving a B.A. in International Politics and Economics with a distinction in Chinese. At Middlebury, Sam was the president of the college's improvisational comedy group. In his spare time, Sam loves to play (and watch) tennis and golf, in addition to nurturing a nascent interest in painting.
