PeakSpan Recognized Among GrowthCap’s Top Growth Equity Firms of 2025, A Third Consecutive Honor

In October 2025, the PeakSpan team gathered in the Dolomites for L'Altezza Chiama, "The Height Calls." It was our tenth anniversary, a moment to honor the climb behind us and align on the peaks ahead. We didn't know then that three short months later, GrowthCap would name us to its Top Growth Equity Firms of 2025 award for the third consecutive year!

This recognition comes on the heels of our Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Phil Dur, named a Top Software Investor and Matt Melymuka and Jack Freeman as 40 Under 40 Growth Investors honorees, and it reflects something larger than 2025. It validates a decade of decisions that compounded because we stayed the course.

What We Knew 10 Years Ago (And Still Holds True Today)

We founded PeakSpan in 2015 on the simple belief that capital-disciplined entrepreneurs building $3-10M ARR businesses deserved institutional capital that amplified what made them successful in the first place. Capital efficiency, focus, and alignment weren't liabilities to overcome but strengths to compound. While others chased AI hype and frothy deals in 2025, we stayed narrow.

"What stands out most is the consistency," says Colton Seal, CEO of Routefusion. "Every conversation, every follow-up, every introduction has a purpose."

Infrastructure That Enables Discipline

You can't execute discipline at scale without infrastructure to support it. We built four pillars over the past decade to make our model durable:

PeakSpan Expert Community (450+ members):

"They introduced us to an operating partner who helped us renegotiate major payment contracts, saving us millions of euros annually," says Tom Michels, CEO of Salonkee.

This is execution capacity, not advisory theater.

Value Creation Engine: Structured playbooks, audits, and diagnostics that operationalize support.

"They know exactly how to support founders without adding noise. They bring clarity, structure, and real operational help," explains Brett Carlson, CEO of ServiceUp.

Proprietary Technology: ADA, DEWEY, ANNA. Fourth patent awarded in 2025. Our technology amplifies efficiency, fidelity, and precision in everything we do, while our Expert Community gives founders execution capacity.

People & Culture: 75% of our investment team started as Summer Analysts. We added Dr. André Martin, former Chief Learning Officer at Google, Nike, and Disney, as our People & Culture Operating Advisor.

"I've spent two decades working with the elite," André says. "If I had to bet my family's wealth, my children's future, my own reputation behind a small group of dedicated people, I would put it all behind the team at PeakSpan."

What Discipline Produces

The numbers tell part of the story: ~2% all-time realized scale-up failure rate  (vs. ~61% for Series A and ~50% for Series B companies). Top quartile or decile performance across TVPI, DPI, and IRR for every fund. $412M deployed in 2025, with 13 of 18 investments in existing portfolio partners where either doubled or tripled down where conviction has and continues to compound. $0 to $2.5B+ in assets under management in our first decade.

But our founders tell a fuller one:

"From the very beginning, they pushed our thinking in a constructive way and helped us view our market and business through a sharper lens," says Casper Henningsen, CEO of GetWhy. "They care deeply, they act quickly, and they bring a culture of people who genuinely want to help you win."
Alberto Piña, CEO of PorchPass, adds: "They move with intention. No fluff, no posturing, just partnership. They help us dream bigger while keeping us grounded in reality."

Four exits in 2025, Oaky, XOi, GroupBy, Konnecto, each reflected years of strategic positioning, resilient value creation, and capital-efficient growth.

What Comes Next

To learn more about the collective impact that directly contributed to this award, we invite you to explore our 2025 Year in Review.

As we look toward 2026, our approach remains consistent: continue backing owner-operator entrepreneurs building the next durable emerging leader in applied AI for B2B software across our sectors; our Expert Community, value-creation infrastructure, and proprietary technology. Continue backing our existing portfolio partners where conviction has compounded to further mitigate risk, accelerate growth, and reach the best terminal view of success. Ensuring we’re doubling down on culture, talent, and specialization as competitive moats.

The Dolomites taught us something: "the height calls" isn't about the summit we reached, it's about the next one. This recognition from GrowthCap honors the work behind us, but ten years of building taught us that discipline doesn't just survive market cycles, it defines them.

We're grateful to GrowthCap, to our LP stakeholders who support our long-term vision, to our portfolio entrepreneurs who trust us with their life's work, and to our team who executes with excellence every day.

Join us in celebrating this milestone.
