Eliza and Alyssa will spend an hour deep diving into how founders and executives can proactively prepare for liquidity events well before the transaction closes. This session will explore the intersection of wealth planning, tax strategy, estate planning, and long-term portfolio management, with practical frameworks for navigating everything from QSBS and trust structures to diversification and post-transaction investing.

Topics include:
• Building the right professional advisory team 12–18 months before a transaction
• Pre-transaction planning strategies including QSBS, GRATs, WING Trusts, and charitable vehicles
• Estate planning considerations for founders and high-net-worth families
• Common mistakes founders make before and after a liquidity event
• Diversification and concentrated stock management post-transaction
• Building a disciplined long-term investment and wealth management strategy

The goal will be to have you all leave the session with a clearer understanding of how thoughtful planning before and after a liquidity event can help preserve wealth, minimize taxes, and create long-term flexibility for future generations.

Eliza Leach is a Managing Director & Shareholder within Pathstone’s Client Advisory group, where she works closely with entrepreneurs, founders, and families navigating complex wealth events and long-term planning decisions. Alyssa Do, JD, LLM, is a Director & Shareholder within Pathstone’s Wealth Planning Group and brings deep expertise across estate planning, income tax strategy, charitable planning, and multi-generational wealth structures. Together, they advise clients through some of the most important and high-stakes financial moments of their lives, particularly surrounding liquidity events and concentrated equity positions.
